Hello everyone. I've decided to something to liven up this wiki a little. I call it the Twelve Days of Christmas: The Magic Wild Edition. Every day, I will draw a creature, beast, or cryptid from the TMW series, and put it up with a description of it on this very page. This is both, a fun little project I came up for myself, and a way to get to know some of the lore of my series, The Magic Wilds. Enjoy!

Entry 1~ Spirit-Tailed Fox (AKA Kitsune)[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 1- Spirit-Tailed Fox

"You don't need to see my identification." My first entry, of course, is a Spirit-Tailed Fox, or in The Magic Wilds series, sometimes referred to in short, as "Kitsune". Kitsune can be very protective of anyone close to them, but they can also be very tricky as well. It just means they like you, is all. All Kitsune can use illusion magic, as well as have the ability to "charm" other creatures. It's not exactly mind control, but more of a persuasive ability. Depending on the strength of their minds, they can persuade another creature to do almost anything by waving their tails and looking into the eyes of their victims. Kitsune are immune to illusions and charm spells, so they can't trick each other. Also, the charm spell doesn't work with certain suggestions, such as attempting to make someone harm or kill themselves, or make them sing Christmas carols. (Probably)

The Kitsune in the picture is named Terran, my personal sona in The Magic Wilds. As stated before is very protective of his closest allies, and dreads even the thought of one of his guild mates falling in combat. But that doesn't stop him from pranking them when he sees fit. As a Kitsune, he knows to never prank the same creature twice, unless they are okay with it, or unless they declare some sort of prank war. Either way, everyone in Lionhearts Guild has been pranked by him at least once. In the picture, he is attempting to "charm" an officer of the Pride's Alliance to get past them.

Entry 2~ Silver wolf (AKA Wind Wolf)[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 2- Silver Wolf

Silver wolves are slightly smaller than the average species of wolves, but don't underestimate their strength. These wolves are strong, swift, and can literally travel the speed of wind from a tornado. Each cell in their bodies can pull themselves apart, giving them the ability to imitate wind, and even run through the tiniest of spaces. Of course, this ability gives them nearly unmatched speed. Silver wolves always hunt in packs, and most of their species are dedicated to ridding the the Magic Wilds, and cities of creatures they believe to be dangerous, such as mutants, undead, and anyone who uses shadow magic. Very few packs are different, instead protecting the innocent from harm. Some work as bounty hunters, killing indiscriminately. They are hard to detect with the naked eye whilst in their wind form, but if they are nearby, you could hear the whisper of a howl, as if in the distance. But it's very quiet, so if encountered, it's likely the last thing you'll ever hear.

The wolf in the picture is named Irene. She is a friendly silver wolf who despises the teachings of the silver wolves about the White Wolf of the North. She also runs with a pack of wolves who are dedicated to protecting the innocent, even if they happen to be mutants. She is pretty much the black sheep of her pack, merely tolerating her. Her father is the Alpha of the pack. I tried to make it look like she moved from in front of Terran to behind him, but I wasn't sure how, so I did my best.

Entry 3~ Snallygaster[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 3- The Snallygaster

Depicted most commonly as a half-bird/half reptilian cryptid, with octopus tentacles, and a single eye, the snallygaster is a simply terrifying foe to face, as are most cryptids. Little is known of it's origin, but it is speculated that they result from some sort of mutation. It has been confirmed that these things can lay eggs, just like all magical creatures do. However, unlike creatures, cryptids such as the snallygaster, are unintelligent, and unable to comprehend the most basic of speech. It is even unknown if snallygasters can communicate with each other. Judging by the weight of these cryptids, compared to the size of their wings, it is unlikely they are able to fly. However, and these are just rumors from... unreliable sources we'll call them... that strange beasts matching the description have been spotted flying in the distance, sometimes with smaller creatures being held in their reptilian claws. These creatures have mainly been sighted in lush swamps, or in the toxic badlands. It is unknown why they would be spotted in two entirely contradicting habitats, but is speculated that some may prefer a wet biome, and others may prefer a hotter and more dangerous one.

Now this one isn't exactly a creature, but a cryptid. I know, TMW is FULL of confusing classifications. Basically a "cryptid" in the TMW world, is classified as an unintelligent beast that isn't very common, and is almost never encountered by weary travelers, unlike shadow beasts or trolls, which are very common and are simply classified as "beasts". Beasts are separate from creatures because of their animalistic, and ferocious behavior. Granted, everyone in the series is based off an animal of some sort, but the distinguishing feature is "feral", which basically means wild, or crazed. Anyways, you may notice on the right of the picture, there is a peculiar looking feline, and an undead canine to the left, both of which I will be doing entries for another day. Also, I don't really know a lot about the lore of the snallygaster, but I did some research, and then came up with some of my own lore. Hope you like the picture, cause theirs gonna be nine more of these coming up!

Entry 4~ Minitaur[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 4- Minitaur

For years there has been debate weather minitaurs should be classified as creatures, or beasts. It is well known that some mintaurs live in civilized communities. That being said, there are many a minitaur who are entirely feral, and unable to be reasoned with. The latter tend to live in underground labyrinths, and are full of rage, and don't seem to have the ability to communicate, but sometimes they escape, and attack nearby towns and cities. Because of this, civilized minitaurs are highly discredited, as they are quite the opposite of their maze-bound counterparts. Civilized minitaurs are usually gentle, and quite helpful when it comes to heavy lifting. They also make great fitness instructors. If you happen to see a minitaur, you can tell if they are "feral" if their eyes are bloodshot red. You can also tell if they are smashing everything in their wake. Civilized minitaurs will protect nearby citizens from rampaging minitaurs, even if that means getting themselves hit. Though, some minitaurs are known to be bounty hunters, they are still, usually quite gentle, and live by some sort of code. This being said, there are certain things that can trigger emotional, or enraged reactions from a civilized minitaur, so do try to be considerate when in the presence of such a mighty creature.

I didn't know how else to draw this one. Anyways, here's a shot of two minitaurs, one feral (left, bloodshot eyes) and one civilized (right, normal eyes) As you can see, they are in some kind of city of civilized creatures, and the one on the left seems to have escaped from his home labyrinth, and went on a rampage. The one on the right seems to be protecting civilian creatures, locking horns with the feral. Don't know if he'll be an important character later in the series, or if I'll even give him a name, but you never know.

Entry 5~ Elementine[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 5- Elementine

Elementines are an extremely powerful species of feline or canine. They can only utilize the elemental magic they were born with, for example, if they were born with fire magic, they cannot learn or use other elemental magic. However, they are so well versed in a specific element, that they can strike a massive blow to multiple enemies. Elementines don't have any special behavior, besides what one would expect from a normal feline or canine, but depending on their birth-element, they may have certain non-feline/non-canine features. For example, a water elementine will have a fish tail, and gills to survive underwater, but that doesn't mean they can't survive on land. Due to their highly concentrated abilities, elementines are often hired as freelancing mercs by the Pride's Alliance, but despite being powerful felines and canines, the Alliance makes a point not to enlist them into their military, out of fear that they may be too unstable to follow orders without incentive.

What we have here is the product of an interesting scenario. Long story short, eight elementine kittens, all of the same age, have fallen terminally ill, and the only way to save them was combine their souls together, which required a bit of mutation. Sadly, only four of these kittens were saved, because the others' parents were not willing to allow their children to be turned into mutants. Anyways, the four souls were unstable together, so a fifth soul had to be created from pure chaos magic to make it work. This fifth soul, named Rumor, held together the four, whom would be unable to survive without Rumor, together. Rumor (the middle cat) is dedicated to protecting her "siblings", (from left to right) Blaze the fire cat, Zippy the water cat, Mystery the shadow cat, and Tundra the ice cat, at any cost.

Rumor is able to transfer control of her "vessel", and thankfully able to transfer their individual elemental magics, as well as transform into their original forms. Rumor wanted to give them as much freedom as possible, but not many creatures are fond of mutants. Sometimes each cat's respective parents want to be with their children all at once, so Rumor figured out a spell to bring each of her sibling's ethereal forms out, whilst maintaining her own control over the physical vessel. This is a taxing spell though, and only lasts a few hours. Sadly, Rumor had to lock Blaze in a mental cage in her mind, after an incident where Blaze burned down an entire werewolf town. But Blaze sometimes overpowers Rumor, and it takes all four of the others to send him back.

I should also mention Rumor and her siblings each have their own personalities. Rumor is highly protective of her siblings, her individual families, and her friends, and will do anything to keep them safe. Zippy is shy, but can also be very bubbly and bouncy. If she likes you, she'll talk your ear off. Tundra is very self-centered, and will be pouty if she doesn't get her way. She likes to think of herself as "ladylike", despite constant unladylike outbursts, which she will deny if you bring it up. Mystery doesn't talk much... or even at all. Instead, he makes meowing noises, as if he weren't magically evolved. He often does his own thing from time to time, and likes to challenge those will power equal, or higher than his, or anyone who gets on his nerves. When being spoken to, he will often lick his paw as if he was ignoring you. Blaze is a loose canon. (Not that the others aren't, but even more so) Rumor describes him as "a pyromaniac, with an insatiable hunger for flaming destruction". When Rumor or the other siblings are overwhelmed, Blaze is able to exploit their exhaustion to break out of the cage, which forces Rumor inside the cage instead, and Blaze would be in control of the vessel. Sorry this one is so long, but you can understand why. It's five whole freakin characters in one vessel.

Entry 6~ Death Hound[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 6- Death Hound

Day 6: Death Hound~ These are not your average undead creatures, as they are probably the toughest kind of undead canine. They can withstand a lot of damage to their bodies, from broken bones, to even cutting off their head. Death hounds can also "survive", for lack of a better term, if you were to shave off all of it's flesh. Despite being dead, their bodies are prevented from decaying because of a special green mist that floats around them, which also, coincidentally protects them from sun damage, so they don't burn to ashes during the daytome. These reanimated canines are normally underlings of human vampires. One can even argue that they are vampire dogs themselves, as they are often seen dabbling in blood magic, and gain stronger abilities the more fresh blood they consume. Like vampires, they do have a weakness to dead man's blood , although it doesn't necessarily have to be human blood. Most death hounds are a pale, light green color, but are sometimes lead by stronger, and yet much rarer variants of themselves, who share a darker green skin color.

Hope I got everything for this one. If not, I'll add more information later. Anyways, so yeah, what you see in the pic here is one of the important characters in TMW, Lost the death hound, being surrounded by a his former pack, who are in service of King Lee of the Horde of Hunt, who Lost had betrayed after the Horde had declared war on the Pride's Alliance, and the living in general. Lost had had his flesh torn from his head, tail, and his stomach was ripped open, and still, he has yet to be rendered inanimate. Don't ask how it all works! My excuse is magic! I don't need to explain myself!

Entry 7~ Nekomata[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 7- Nekomata

The nekomata is yet, another feline creature, who's species is famous for necromancy, which explains why they are commonly isolationists. The word neko refers to their feline appearance, and the word mata refers to the fact that they have a forked tail. When a non-magical domestic cat dies, it is said they would grow a second tail, which gives them their power. This is unconfirmed however, because of the current wavering population of non-magically evolved domestic cats, and the fact that they are often found in the forests with amnesia. If this is a form of magical evolution, it has yet to be confirmed. The reason for a nekomata having amnesia is strange. If the amnesia of these fork tailed felines really are the result of reanimation, then how is it that they are able to reproduce in the form of an egg, like other magically evolved creatures? Could it be possible, that some are reborn from the corpse of cat, and others are simply born? It is an interesting theory. Nekomata are known to reanimate, and control the dead, but they also have some forms of offensive magic as well. You can tell if you have encountered a nekomata by their two tails, which emit small flames from their tips. Though, the flames themselves are not harmful unless they want them to be.

Not too colorful, is it? Don't worry. I have a more colorful plan for the next day. Promise. Anyways, this nekomata doesn't have a name yet. I simply came up with her on a whim because I wanted to add one in there. Anyways, yes this is based off of a Japanese folklore, but as with all of my creatures based on stories from different cultures, I changed a bit of the lore. Anyways, as you can see, she is reanimating human corpses, as it is said they can do. Not sure what else I can add to this one. Next one won't exactly be a magical creature, but it'll be a part of a group that will appear very often in the The Magic Wilds series.

Entry 8~ Lions & Tigers[]

Twelves Days TMW- Day 8- Lions & Tigers

They may not be magically evolved, but lions and tigers make up a great deal of Mythrolhia's creature population, and are possibly one of the most recognized among society. Ever since the day magic has been introduced (or possibly reintroduced) to the elements of Earth, wild creatures have evolved, both in body AND intelligence. Because of this, they were able to understand and talk to humans. Not only that, they were once wild animals themselves, and were able to pass their knowledge onto creatures that have not been magically evolved, including lions and tigers. Centuries later, lions and tigers have begun to create their own separate forms of government. The lions were known simply as the Pride, and the tigers, known as the Stripes. Some time later, after the sudden major drop in human population, the Pride and the Stripes became a single government, now known as the Pride's Alliance, though some still refer to it as simply, the Pride. The Pride now rules over the country known as Mythrolhia, with a king at it's helm, and a council to keep the monarch in check.

Okay, I know. Pride Academy does sound a little misleading. Already noted! But I really couldn't think of anything else. Also, I worked harder on this than all the others, trust me. I even added two species this time. But I'm not skipping a day, so don't ask. Anyways, this kinda looks like advertisement, doesn't it? That was kinda the idea. "Join the Pride's Alliance today! Benefits! Cash! And glory!" idk. Anywho, they're ideals are actually based on the ideals of The New California Republic from the Fallout series, except with a lenient form of monarchy

Entry 9~ Dragonsheep[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 9- Dragonsheep

In a another dimension, far far away, we have what can only be described as a dragon-sheep. Little is known about them as they are not from Mysticia, or even from our dimension, and only one of them has been confirmed in multiple sightings. Alas, the Bureau of Variety says I have to document this one, because you creatures'll buy information on exotic specimens such as this one. From a brief and rather rushed interview with the dragon-sheep, we can deduce a few things. They live in a world much more technologically advanced, as they can travel across dimensions. Apparently, dragonsheep are normally common couriers, and would do anything to protect and deliver your Famazon packages right to your door. Oh, and they can breathe fire. That's all I got for now.

This ones for you, Sheepie! You would not believe what I had to do just to finish this one. Right in the middle, my paint bucket tool started acting weird, and so I had to finish coloring along the lines with a paint brush! Anyways, my horrible luck with perfect art aside, this is Sheepie, based off of a friend of mine's sona. You may find her Youtube channel here! She did of course, give me permission to use it. She'll have quite a few appearances throughout the TMW series. And get this, she can traverse through different dimensions! She also delivers special packages. Dang, Famazon reaches pretty far, doesn't it? And with free dimensional-transition with Famazon Prime! Isn't that great!? Anywho, I wanted to make it into a dimensional traverse, so I added two more crossovers to the mix, and I couldn't think of anything better than an Alien V.S. Predator thing.

Entry 10~ Dragon[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 10- Dragon

Don't let them fool you. Yes, they tend to be barbarians, but dragons are smarter than they look. Dragons have been around for centuries, and unlike most magical creatures, dragons aren't magically evolved. It is said that a long time ago, that magic was sealed away by humans because of the dragons. Magical animals became normal animals, and not a trace of magic was left in the world. Ever since, dragons had retreated underground, to Mysticia's core. (I've decided that Mysticia is now the official name of the planet where the TMW series takes place, and it only took me this long. Also, pronunciation is Mist-ish-eah.) It's no coincidence that a human AND a dragon were the cause of magic being released back into Mysticia. But that's a story for another time. Dragons have different elemental abilities, and can cast magic from their breathe. Dragons are known to form clans made up of different tribes, or they make up their own independent tribes. Either way, not many dragons are left in Mythrolhia ever since a pack of silver wolves had thinned their numbers. Eventually, the silver wolves offered peace between the dragons, despite them having the ability to wipe out their entire race, on the condition that they keep their population to a minimum. The dragons begrudgingly agreed to their terms.

Wow, this was surprisingly easy to draw. I must be getting better. And there's only two days left of this twelve day doodle marathon! Anyways, what you see here is NOT the dragons and the silver wolves making peace, because this happened a while ago at this point. Instead, we see an independent shaman from a silver wolf pack, independently striking a deal. This scene will make sense MUCH LATER into the story, but I think it's a good foreshadowing image. So yes, this will be canon. I was expecting it to be harder to draw a full-grown dragon, but it's surprisingly not hard at all. Hope you like it!

Entry 11~ Eevee[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 11- Eevee

Didn't get much on this one, but apparently she's from another dimension of creatures called "Pokémon". I only got that much info from her obnoxiously apologetic buddy, after she wrecked my camera! But the Bureau wanted me to do the piece anyway. From her destructive behavior, I was able to deduce that an Eevee is a small, but bat-shiz crazy animal, with abilities that aren't even from this world. Apparently, this world of Pokémon was once peaceful and quiet, until some strange storm rolled in and destroyed it. Heck, I'm surprised it wasn't the Eevees who destroyed their own world. It's also apparent that blue is NOT a normal color for an Eevee, and the ear thing is an abnormal birth defect. From what the kitsune told me, Eevee can magically evolve into one of eight different forms depending on the climate condition or something like that. Somewhat similar to magical evolution in our world. (Note to self, need to ask for a raise from the Bureau of Variety)

This one was A LOT of fun to make! It's based on an character I plan to implement into The Magic Wilds the series, from an entirely different project I'm working on called "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Calamity". It basically takes lore from the PMD universe, and creates a post-apocalyptic era using elements from previous games. My favorite is Explorers of Sky, which is why the story takes place in the Grass Continent. Anyways, the story behind this character is that she was tired of the Pokémon world that came to be after the "Calamity" which brought upon a terrible accident that affected the entire world, and no human hero was able to stop it this time. Karla the Eevee, with help from an acquaintance, was brought to the Magic Wilds, and her body was miscolored on arrival. She generally doesn't trust anyone, and is easily bothered. She lives life just trying to survive. Welp, no dimension is perfect. So she settled for this one. If you wanna read PMD: Calamity here's a link: https://pokemonfanon.fandom.com/wiki/Pokémon_Mystery_Dungeon:_Calamity

I haven't gotten very far, but I'm confident it'll be great in later stages.

Entry 12~ Demon Cat[]

Twelve Days TMW- Day 12- Demon Cat

I was suuuper excited when I got to interview Mythrolhia's very own "The Demoncat", about his species. Even got to see one of his shows! He was so nice, he even gave me a magic lens camera to replace the one that devilish Eevee broke. Apparently, demon cats ARE real demons, and collect souls of the dead who are have marked as evil, or evilish. Demoncat is apparently a rogue who turned away from the castle of the very canine deity, known to desert wanderers of Scavalon, as Anubis, who himself was rumored to have ventured many times from the depths of Tartarus just to enjoy the chaotic presence of mortal beings. Demoncat claims to have visited Anubis a few times in Mythrolhia. Demoncat used to go by the name Azulaur, or Azzi for short, but has long since abandoned the name. He mentioned that demon cats are often, quote on quote, "sadistic, and unoriginal torturers". But Azzi would rather see to exposing the sins of mortals as a form of torture, rather than using knives, dark age machines, and ghost memories. Which is why he uses a news show studio, which I'm not at liberty to expose the location of, to weed out the undesirables of mortal society, including the most corrupt enforcers of the Pride's Alliance.

Aaaand that's that! It's done! Go home! But seriously, this project was a lot of fun, and I may do similar projects in the future. This is Azulaur, AKA The Demoncat. It's a name he made for himself as a news show host. He chases down anything sin, and reports on such bad behavior. No one loves Mythrolhia more than this DEVILISHLY handsome feline. XD I crack myself up. This is the last of the Twelve Days series. Hope you enjoyed it, and as I said, I might bring out similar content in the future.
